This wine comes from the little-known and little-exported Trás-os-Montes (“behind the mountains”) appellation of northeastern Portugal

Stirm, Calcite Viosinho but without that in-your-face intensityWonderfully textured and delightfully crisp, Stirm Calcite is a blend of Riesling, Chardonnay, and Scheurebe (a grape native to Austria). The grapes were picked by hand over several passes between three different vineyards and then given 24 hours of whole cluster maceration to extract tannins, aroma, and flavor compounds.
