It’s one of those artworks that I start off thinking it’s going to be simple but ends up being a 14 layer stencil with heavy hand finishing

so theme for this years birthday is Jurassic

Lots of subtle textures and tones to bring these guys to life

oranges and yellows and even some neon pink to make that eye catching rainbow like colouration

I use the pyrography tool to highlight line and form with more subtle shadowing than previous editions. Very much compliments the style of the Butterfly, another one of my artworks. Great contrast of natural insect colours complimenting the red tones in the Elm wood. Spray painted by Syd, signed on the front numbered 34 100 on the rear. Size 14 x 13cm.
