Nicolas Potel, Vosne Romanee Malconsorts Vintage:2006Here the nose is ripe but is dominated by distinct floral notes, particularly violet and rose petal plus red and dark berry fruit aromas that complement the textured, intense and more obviously muscled bigbodied flavors that deliver more power but less depth and about the same length. Well see with time but despite the serious punch, it would appear that the Gaudichots is the more gifted of the two. (90 92) 2013+

the wine offers a structured wall of ripe

A ripe yet very fresh deeply pitched nose speaks of game

all wrapped in a wonderfully complex

pencil shavings and forest floor

the Asili retains sinewy

and he’s also completely crazy about wine

On the palate there is more size

Tasted several times since my original review with consistent notes in the sense that they have become progressively more positive

with mouth-watering acidity and a chalky stony note

Has a mix of candied citrus peel
