Bedrock exposed in the Wasatch Range is Precambrian to Jurassic with Tertiary dikes and sills (igneous intrusions). Except for glacial deposits in the mountain peaks and various deposits in valleys of the Wasatch Range, surficial deposits are mainly west of the Salt Lake City
