it is fair to assume that this would have been installed in either the Douglas A-20 Havoc or A-26 Invader

The post war USN fighter F8F Bearcat used the AN5780-3 as documented in its Erection and Maintenance Manual dated 1948

This example has the pneumatic connection attached. Made by Askania, it has a manufacturing date of Feb 14, 1935. Measures ~3 inches diameter and 5 inches deep. The case paint shows some corrosion, but the glass and face markings are intact, as is the floating ball within
